about

Recorded in 1993 just after the Flying Nun Records "Thursday"/ "Too Hot to Be Cool" double A-side 7" single "Songs for Emily Valentine" should have been The Puddle's landmark album on Flying Nun, the one that finally delivered on the drug-affected promise of the first three Flying Nun albums. Instead it fell between the cracks, saw a limited CDR release on Dunedin label Space Cadet Academy (home of Mink, George's other mid-90s project), then disappeared from view (but not from memory). Finally in 2006 Powertool Records released in in CD form. This is the first time it has been made available as a download.

Flying Nun imprint. Their debut Pop Lib was recently included in SPIN magazine’s list of the best Kiwi pop releases alongside The Clean.
