about

Recorded at Bob Frisbee's Auckland studio as part of the "Victory Blues" EP session. We misheard George when he said the name of this song and for a while thought it was called "Lou Reed Coat".

lyrics

Little Red Coat

Put on your little red coat
and come out with me tonight
our love is all she wrote
they said to hold me tight
the Weasel and the Stoat
will not forget to bite
but you are at my throat
and we'll make it through alright

Take off your little red coat
and lie with me tonight
unwrap your five pound note
Honey come inside
the Weasel and the Stoat
will not forget to bite
but I am at your throat
we'll make it through alright

Put on your little red coat
and come out with me tonight
our love is all she wrote
they said to treat me right
the Weasel and the Stoat
are not afraid to bite
but you are at my throat
so we will make it through alright
